Paul Rudolf Uhl

My Mirror

Referring to my poem of yesterday:

I think my mirror does’nt work
as did in former times – must be
defect. I see my hair a(s) fork
of flax – and I do not agree…

Can’t work with such equipment now -
I need a mirror I can trust,
will buy a new one (no kotow)
and throw away that old, at last…

In Wirklichkeit

In Wirklichkeit bin stolz ich drauf
nicht deshalb, weil das weiße Haar
mir Weisheit billigt, nein ich rauf’
mir’s  aus bei dummen Fehlern, die
mir noch passieren, offenbar.
Und es schützt nicht vor Idiotie…

Es sieht gut aus, wird mir gesagt
von meinen Kindern und der Frau.
Ist keine Leistung, denn betagt
wird von allein man. - Ja, genau !
