Rebecca Harris (Estados Unidos)

I am a wife and mother of two, living in the mountains of Colorado. I love to read, write, spend time with my family, and pass hours in the kitchen creating culinary masterpieces. I have been telling stories since before I could hold a pen, and writing from that point on, though I have not yet been published formally beyond one poem in 1998.

I had plans to attend Colombia College Chicago to major in Fiction Writing, and was accepted into the program at just 17. The plan was to move and attend after I finished High School, which I did in just 3 years, but things fell apart with transcript issues. The college I had taken courses for in place of my senior year courses did not get the transcripts from those classes to my High School in time for my full official transcripts to reach Colombia in time for enrollment. After spending a few months in the city working, I decided it was best I move back to Nebraska for the time being. Though I desperately wished to return and attend school there, it never worked out, and I have always wondered how things might have been different if I had been able to complete the program there.

I welcome critique on my work, as I am constantly aiming to better my writing and overall style, so if you see something that could be improved upon, please let me know! Feel free to email me if you prefer, at bekajoi -at- hotmail -dot- com.

Thanks for reading!
