Stefanie Haertel

Sweet Kartarsis

Sometimes life treats you unkind and your mood is down in the dumps.

You feel so useless and see no sense.

So you want to bring this to an end.

But you’re too afraid, so you keep thinking…

Then you see some light,

Hear your music, which tells you that it’s not so bad,

See the flowers in your window

And that your friend left a message on the answering machine.

And you start to think life is not so bad. Life is not so bad.

My life was an endless maze

I couldn’t go back

And had no escape.

I didn’t know if it would make sense to move on,

But I inner voice gave no other answer.

So I fell, fell, fell

Cried, bleeded, got half destroyed and wanted to go

Where forever begins…

But then I saw some light,

Heard my music, which told me that it’s not so bad,

Saw the flowers in my window

And that a friend left a message on the answering machine.

And I started to think

Life is not so bad…

Life is not so bad…

I drifted away on my tears so many times

And often nearly drowned.

But through the water I saw the reflections of the stars.

And it was worth to come up

Even in the darkest night.
