Life means change

I try to understand the way you treat me
because all I ask for
is some respect
is some love
is some recognition

I know I´m not like you
you often let me know
but you can´t compare me with you
I´m unique

I can´t express the way it hurts
the way you hurt me
but I´ve got my rights on my mind

Sometimes I´m blue
because my life isn´t always
how I dreamt of ,
my life hasn´t always turned out
like I hoped and worked for,
but I still have some visions
because what I learned is not lost,
it´s in my mind
and my mind is my weapon
and I´m fighting for some change.

I know I´m different from you
you never make me feel good enough
but I succeeded
I´m loved
I often let me know

But now look-
my eyes stay dry
you don´t have power over me any more
it´s over

and someday I can tell my story
touch their hearts
make them maybe have tears in their eyes
make them smile
because I´m fighting,
Life means change.
