Little Weed

Hello little weed,
Instrument of greed,
Never mind a ban-
You just carry on!
Young and old thee hail-
Little coffin nail.
Young men must prove their manhood
With you at their command.
Young girls accept you also,good!
No spoilsports in the gang...
Men uphold you dearly,
Can work and think more clearly.
Women without you cannot be,
Subject to equality.
Fun and laughter aren`t the same
With exclusion of your name.
Does it matter if addicts are dying-
The manufacturers won`t be crying!
Man`s achievements are outstanding:
Miracle of birth and life enhancing,
Knowledge of medicine and science soaring-
But without you all this would be boring!
So, little weed, well embedded you are,
Of foolish addicts the stronger one by far,
Diminishing the good in our society
Who aren`t worrying what the outcome could be...
Paying the price of unnecessary dying-
Of that, little weed, there can be no denying!
