A Lonely Night
Loneliness all around. I sit and stare out the shattered window in the attic and shed some more tears as time goes on. The wind´s howling outside and I can hear the coyotes wailing deep in the woods.
I´m not afraid. I´m not angry. Just lonely and in complete despair. I hear the door creaking below me, but I don´t care. Children´s laughter down the street I hear and lift up my head to hear if my name´s called. So alone. The fire´s almost out in the fireplace and a chill´s building in the house. The night feels so long and never ending. I close my eyes and wait to dream again.
