Through ebbing distant outcries trots my grace
Tormenting solitude appears so neigh
My vanquished hope leaves traces in the haze
Luring forms that shape and scorn then die
May Friendship be a quarry filled with clay
Even though your penumbral face lies still
I Moulded a pristine squire sworn to stay
Thine stopping heartbeat ends a groping will
In dales forgotten like a sprinkling well
Sly gazes through a sullen winter’s gale
‘tis this which penetrates the emptied shell
When razed a piercing truth I must inhale
Cantankerous companion of mine
Will I see darling footsteps in the shrine?

Whence thine redemption may ever come
I come undone.
