WHAT A DIFFERENCE A DAY MAKES

Yesterday when I was here the green fields lay empty and bare,
dull cloudy skies were patrolled by the occasional soaring bird
whilst a bitter chilled wind swept across the open grassland.
Today I am here once again, and my eyes view a different scene,
now I see a flock of grazing sheep that roam this open space,
with small lambs that huddle together for comfort and warmth.
The sky is now filled with a breath taking show of aerial majesty,
as a thunder of uneasy crows battle against the hungry buzzard.
The brisk wind still blows cold over this wonderful green land,
but now a glorious land, filled with wonder and new life.

Most days I sit looking over the fields during my lunch whilst i'm at work. I always look forward to it. I think that Mother nature and animals, (whether domesticated or not) are always a nice subject to wax lyrical about.
