Behind the garden tent

On the day they went

to their garden tent

what they found made a sound

that their nose hairs bent.

It was quite a shriek

followed by a creak

and their hound jumped around

and they dared not speak.

What they found right there

was a teddy bear

rocking back, rocking forth

on a rocking chair.

And the reason why

it yelped out its cry

was a string of the thing

stuck into its eye.

They had not a doubt

pulled the splinter out

and the bear's every hair

jumped in joy about!

Rubbing off its tears

and with those all fears

every bit grateful it

gave a big loud "Cheers!"
