Kegan N.

Musical Self

In the beginning, it seemed a mountain to climb.
By the end, it became simply six strings, played in time.
Something so beautifully complicated, it seems easy to the naked eye.
But to my fingers, Oh! How they were tested!

Because just learning when and where to place your feet,
is not enough when you stare at unresponsive strings.
I became reliant upon my hearing,
though even that, seemed to sometimes fail me.

There is a certain humility that one gains, after having enteratined,
for several days the notion that a target anywhere on a fret board
would be easily obtained.

It is a mission, but well worth it and to those deserving, even melodic.
Just understand that your fingers are the keys and your strings your creativity.
It will become easy for one to achieve their own symphony.
