The sun is glowing pitilessly
Sad dark eyes stare at me
Mothers bury their starved children
A big grave, they’ll soon be with them
But we have over-production
Winter clearance sale, goods for a give-away price
They only get nice advice and a small cup of rice
I can hardly imagine how they feel
The sad dark eyes stare at me
Sometimes I ask myself where You are
Sometimes I think that You are very far
I’m searching for the sense of sorrow
Why must so many die tomorrow?
Come on, I’m talking to You
Please, come on! They need You
On certain holidays we are so generous
But only to soothe our conscience
But they are hungry the whole year
Death is coming who they fear
Why do we spend so much money for arming?
This is a real ridiculous thing
They need help and love
Be their protecting glove
Sometimes I ask myself where You are
Sometimes I think that You are very far
I’m searching for the sense of sorrow
Why must so many die tomorrow?
Come on, I’m talking to You
Please, come on! They need You
